Daqui a pouco, voc\u00ea v\u00ea que est\u00e1 tudo alagado. \u00c9 assim que a gente vai ter que agir, como Dandalunda, como Oxum, como Aziri, como \u00e1gua<a class=\"sdfootnoteanc\" href=\"#sdfootnote1sym\" name=\"sdfootnote1anc\"><sup>1<\/sup><\/a>.<\/i><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text]\n<p class=\"western\" align=\"justify\">A pretexto de nos falar sobre cinema e sua rela\u00e7\u00e3o com os terreiros, Makota Valdina, professora, militante negra, ambientalista, defensora dos direitos das mulheres e lideran\u00e7a religiosa do Nzo Onimboy\u00e1, terreiro de na\u00e7\u00e3o angola em Salvador, nos legou essa instru\u00e7\u00e3o de sabedoria pol\u00edtica, uma li\u00e7\u00e3o de vida, numa das sess\u00f5es do CachoeiraDoc, em sua \u00faltima realiza\u00e7\u00e3o, datada de setembro de 2017. Era uma edi\u00e7\u00e3o marcada pelo signo do fogo: chamas atravessavam as pe\u00e7as gr\u00e1ficas do festival, a interpelar os espectadores frente \u00e0s derrotas pol\u00edticas que sofr\u00edamos naquele momento e que se adensariam na dimens\u00e3o da barb\u00e1rie dos dias atuais<span style=\"color: #0070c0;\">.<\/span> O fogo ardia nos cartazes espalhados por Cachoeira e na tela do Cine-Theatro Cachoeirano: mas Makota Valdina oferecia ali um contraponto antecipat\u00f3rio.<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\" align=\"justify\">De l\u00e1 para c\u00e1, o CachoeiraDoc fez uma pausa for\u00e7ada por dois anos, e em mar\u00e7o de 2019, de modo precoce e inesperado, Makota Valdina nos deixou. E aqui estamos, retomando o festival e oferecendo alimento para sua mem\u00f3ria, pingando \u00e1gua na terra f\u00e9rtil que ela foi, que ela \u00e9. Homenage\u00e1-la \u00e9 a forma que encontramos de nos juntar ao trabalho de fecunda\u00e7\u00e3o do presente com a for\u00e7a da ancestralidade para garantia de vida. Como diz Concei\u00e7\u00e3o Evaristo, o ancestral coloca o novo no mundo.<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\" align=\"justify\">Nascida em 1943, no Engenho Velho da Federa\u00e7\u00e3o, bairro popular de Salvador onde passou toda sua vida, detentora de uma pedagogia \u00fanica, de uma ci\u00eancia ainda por existir, Makota Valdina, desde a sua juventude, como professora negra e militante, j\u00e1 dava li\u00e7\u00f5es em palavras e gestos que s\u00e3o cada dia mais atuais. Ela construiu, em tr\u00e2nsitos por bibliografias e cen\u00e1rios os mais diversos, uma trajet\u00f3ria de quem nunca se negou a ir com a sua voz e o seu corpo onde estava a luta, pela vida, pela liberdade, pela justi\u00e7a, contra o racismo, enfrentando quem quer que fosse \u2013 e disso se orgulhava. Mas a sua singularidade parece estar em amalgamar esse poder incendi\u00e1rio, que a fez uma guerreira admir\u00e1vel, a uma profunda ancoragem, recolhida na viv\u00eancia dos fundamentos de uma milenar experi\u00eancia de saber\/poder, para a qual n\u00e3o h\u00e1 dicotomias \u2013 entre cultura e natureza; pol\u00edtica e espiritualidade; vis\u00edvel e invis\u00edvel; humanos e n\u00e3o-humanos.
